Dr Kaushik Pramod Sharma
Principal Investigator
Dr. Kaushik P. Sharma obtained his PhD from the National Brain Research Centre (India) and pursued postdoctoral training at Université Laval (Canada), the University of Virginia, and Purdue University (USA), with additional research exposure in Japan. His research focuses on neuroimmunology, glial biology, and the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurological disorders. He is particularly interested in advancing translational neuroscience that bridges fundamental biology with clinical relevance. In parallel, he is deeply committed to mentoring students, strengthening neuroscience education, and building impactful and sustainable research ecosystems.

Dr Kanchan Bisht
Principal Investigator
Dr. Kanchan Bisht obtained her PhD from Université Laval (Canada), following prior research training at the National Brain Research Centre (India) and in Switzerland (ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich). She subsequently pursued postdoctoral training in the United States at the University of Virginia and Purdue University. Her research focuses on microglial biology, neuroinflammation, and the cellular mechanisms underlying brain disorders. She is particularly interested in advancing translational neuroscience that bridges fundamental research with clinical relevance. In parallel, she is deeply committed to mentorship, building research capacity, and fostering a culture of rigorous, ethical, and impactful scientific inquiry.

Dr Rajat Kala
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Rajat Kala completed his PhD in Oncological Sciences from Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Dehradun. His research interests centre on cancer biology, neuro-oncology, and tumor–immune interactions within the tumor microenvironment, with a focus on integrating molecular approaches with translational research. He is driven by a strong interest in understanding disease mechanisms and contributing to meaningful advances in cancer research.Beyond the laboratory, he enjoys cooking, travelling—particularly trekking—and engaging with diverse cultures and people.

Dr Induja Mishra
Project Professional
Dr. Induja Mishra obtained her PhD in Environmental Science from Gurukula Kangri University, Haridwar. She brings interdisciplinary experience across environmental science, agriculture, and sustainable development, along with a strong background in teaching and community engagement. Her work focuses on translating scientific knowledge into practical, community-oriented solutions, with particular interest in health, sustainability, and rural development. She is actively involved in science-driven outreach and capacity-building initiatives, working closely with communities and multidisciplinary teams to promote awareness, empowerment, and sustainable practices.

Ms Swarna Radhakrishnan
Project Assistant
Ms. Swarna Radhakrishnan holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Perfusion Technology, giving her a strong foundation at the interface of clinical care and population health. She brings hands-on experience in community-based health programmes, including screening initiatives, field coordination, and data-driven project implementation. Her work reflects a deep engagement with public health practice, particularly in areas of epidemiology, health promotion, and community outreach. She is driven by a commitment to translating scientific and clinical knowledge into meaningful, real-world impact, especially in improving health awareness and access to care across diverse populations.

Mr Vinayak Kotiyal
Scientific Administrative Assistant
Mr. Vinayak Kotiyal brings extensive experience in community outreach, field operations, and grassroots engagement across Uttarakhand. With a background spanning banking and financial services, he has worked closely with rural populations to facilitate access to government schemes, support enrolment processes, and strengthen community-level awareness and participation. His work reflects strong capabilities in field coordination, documentation, and stakeholder interaction, with a deep familiarity with local contexts and community dynamics. He is particularly motivated by contributing to initiatives that empower rural communities, especially women, through awareness, access, and sustained engagement.

Dr. Gaurangi Srivastava recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) and is an enthusiastic early-career researcher with a growing interest in neuroscience. She is driven by curiosity, a passion for learning, and a desire to explore the interface between clinical understanding and research.
